Today is your first real chance to get to know Split, from its forested hills to its Roman heart. Start your day on the Riva, Split's palm-lined promenade, and climb into the pine-covered hills of Marjan Park. Plinarska Street and the Marjanske skale, a network of rocky pathways, carry you upward to a first viewpoint over the rooftops, while hermitage monasteries sit built into the rock near the fire lookout tower. The descent winds past Telegrin Peak and back to the waterfront. A local guide then leads you into Diocletian's Palace, built in 305 AD as the retirement fortress of Emperor Diocletian. You'll descend into its cellars, which once stored grain and supplies, before emerging into arched gateways and columned courtyards. Day 5: E-bike ride to Stari Grad & lavender distillery visit with traditional Dalmatian lunch
Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Tasting
Get ready to pedal through centuries of agricultural history as you e-bike across Hvar’s northern coast, where 2,400-year-old Greek land divisions still shape the landscape in geometric patterns of dry-stone walls, vineyards, and olive groves. After picking up your bikes in Hvar’s old town, you’ll follow quiet secondary roads inland through lavender fields and past stone villages like Brusje and Velo Grablje, where centuries-old settlements cling to the hillsides. The route descends toward the northern coast and Stari Grad, one of Europe’s oldest continuously inhabited towns, founded by Greek colonists in 384 BCE. Just beyond town lies the Stari Grad Plain, a UNESCO World Heritage site where you’ll stop at a local agriturismo estate for a visit to a traditional lavender distillery. Watch as copper stills transform freshly harvested blooms into concentrated essential oils, then sample lavender-infused honey, handmade soaps, and local lavender rakija (brandy). Day 6: Snorkeling & swimming on Vis & Bisevo islands
Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch
Today you’ll cross the Adriatic by speedboat to Vis, an island that stayed closed to outsiders until 1989 because of its role as a Yugoslav military base. That long isolation left a coastline largely untouched by development. Your boat will arc around Vis's southern shore, where limestone cliffs plunge into crystalline water, and the day centers on Stiniva Bay, where towering cliffs frame a hidden pebble cove. Snorkeling here reveals a rocky seabed where fish dart between boulders while sunlight filters through the water in shifting columns. After time in the water, the boat continues to the fishing village of Komiza on Vis's western coast, where you’ll stop for lunch. Back in Hvar, you’ll head to your hotel with the evening free to wander the harbor and unwind after a day on the water.
Snorkeling & swimming on Vis and Bisevo islands

Discover St. Mark’s Cathedral, a stunning 15th-century Venetian church, and walk along the town’s historic fortifications while learning about Korcula’s progressive past as the first organized government in the world to abolish slavery. Afterward, you’ll cross to the Peljesac Peninsula, where you’ll sip glasses of wine native to the peninsula and Korcula at a local winery, with light snacks alongside. Today you’ll hike along one of Europe’s longest medieval fortification systems on the Peljesac Peninsula. The Walls of Ston stretch over 3 miles across the peninsula, built in the 14th century to protect the region’s valuable salt pans—an industry that sustained this region for centuries. Climb steep stone steps through fortified towers while panoramic views reveal ancient salt pans below and the Adriatic stretching to the horizon. In Mali Ston, Ston's sister city, you’ll have free time for lunch before boarding a traditional wooden boat for a scenic cruise to a working oyster farm. A local guide leads you through centuries of history as you walk the traffic-free cobblestone streets enclosed by massive medieval walls. Step inside the Franciscan Monastery to discover the Friars Minor Pharmacy, one of the oldest operating pharmacies in the world, dating back to 1317. Continue to the Gothic-Renaissance Rector’s Palace and admire the baroque splendor of Dubrovnik Cathedral.
